Daily duties:
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of various dishes under the supervision of the Head Chef.
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with health regulations.
- Support the kitchen team by ensuring that all ingredients are prepped and ready for service.
- Help in the organisation of kitchen stations and ensure cleanliness throughout the kitchen area.
- Collaborate with chefs to learn cooking techniques and improve culinary skills.
- Participate in menu planning and contribute ideas for new dishes or improvements.
- Assist in supervising junior kitchen staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Ensure that all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and cleaned after use.
- To be dressed in a clean and professional manner.
- A strong interest in culinary arts and a desire to learn from experienced chefs
- A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional service to guests.
- Previous experience in food production or as a cook is advantageous but not essential.

Daily duties:- Read and understand the daily business sheet, checking with the Head Chef or Duty Manager for any additional details.
- Prepare prep lists for mis-en-place for future days.
- Check all temperatures in refrigerators and freezers and record relevant data in accordance with the Health and Safety Regulations.
- Lead section of the kitchen area.
- Control wastage and portion sizes to aid achievement of departmental budgets.
- To ensure that all working areas are kept clean and tidy at all times.

Daily duties:
- Provide high quality administrative support to the practice team.
- Receive and accurately record requests for home visits, assessing urgency in accordance with the practice protocol. Print off the home visit summary sheets.

Apprentice Butcher

Daily Duties:
The daily duties will vary, but in general - cutting, packing, using machinery, preparing stock for both fridges and our display, taking and preparing orders, including invoicing and possibly delivering too, they will also be cleaning, washing, filling out HACCP paperwork. They will also be subjected to serving customers, cutting carcasses, preparing mixes for sausages, bugers, etc. All of which while learning the trade and skills to accomplish these daily tasks.
Desirable Personal Qualities:
The candidate must have drive to learn and want to become part of the team. They must be able to work independently and as a team, responding to team members requests and commands. The person must have some level of knowledge retention when going through the training routine, ensuring the guidelines and lessons are not needed to be constantly repeated.
Qualifications Required:
No qualifications required, what is more important is the passion to learn.
Welsh Language Requirements:
Desirable but not essential.
Apprenticeship Course:
Level 2 Certificate for Proficiency in Meat and Poultry Industry Skills
Pay:
Minimum wage to start, but increase as training progresses and more responsibility is taken on.
Hours:
8am - 5pm Tues-Sat
