Apprentice Receptionist with Pitman Training

This exciting opportunity has arisen to join our growing team in Cardiff. Pitman Training provides private, funded, and corporate training to a range of customers across the city and South Wales region.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, forward thinking and creative individual who amongst other duties will excel at:
Daily duties:
· Welcoming visitors to our learning centre and directing them accordingly providing a positive impression of the company.
· Managing learner schedules
· Updating and tracking learner progress
· Administration duties as required
· Assisting with the maintenance of IT equipment
·Answering telephone calls and ensuring enquiries are dealt with in a courteous and timely manner and take messages as appropriate.
· Booking appointments
· Setting up exams
· Submitting exams for marking
· Invigilating exams
· Supporting learners
· Any other reasonable duties as required

- Able to work as part of a team and be able to communicate with colleagues at all levels
- Able to work under pressure and use initiative
- Reliable with a good work ethic

The successful applicant for this role will have the opportunity not only to gain a level 2 qualification in customer service but also to study Pitman training courses and gain further skills and qualifications to enable them to perform in their role and to strengthen their CV.
Qualifications required:
Good standard of general education. Maths and English GCSE grade C or equivalent is preferable.
Welsh language requirements:
None
Apprenticeship course:
Level 2 Apprenticeship in Customer Service or Level 2 Apprenticeship in Business and Administration
Pay:
National apprenticeship wage starting at £7.50 per hour
Hours:
Full time 36.5 hours per week Mon – Thurs 9.00 – 5.00, Fri 9.00 – 4.00
14 month fixed term contract for duration of apprenticeship.
