Elen is the Director of Finance for Cambrian Training Company since August 2002. She is longest serving member of the company who starting with the organization in November 1997. After leaving school she signed up as Foundation Apprentice in Business Administration in an Administrative Assistant role. Throughout the years she progressed in the company to do the roles of Claims Officer/Manager doing a further Foundation Apprenticeship in Customer Service, Apprenticeship in Business Administration and a Higher Apprenticeship in Management.
Elen is a prime example how work based learning can help you learn while you earn and work yourself up the ladder in a company.
As a Welsh speaker Elen helped the company gained their Welsh Language Scheme and continues to ensure the Company meets these requirements. Over the years Elen has seen the company grow and develop throughout Wales delivering high quality learning to all ages.
Elen has been an active YFC member over the years holding many posts at Club level and more recent has been on the Montgomery YFC Board of Management Committee for 3 years. In this time she has advised and helped the County federation run as a business as less funds have been available from the local authority.
