Does your apprentice have what it takes to be crowned the best Butcher in the UK?

Apprentices from all over the UK are being invited to put their skills to the test and sign up with WorldSkills UK and compete to prove they have what it takes to be named the best in Butchery.

As Brexit looms large and the UK’s skill gap widens, WorldSkills UK Competitions will present the largest skills drive, celebrating the talent of current apprentices and inspiring future generations into skilled professions.

Designed to strict industry standards and run in over 50 different skill areas, employers can use the Apprenticeship Levy to support their apprentice’s involvement in WorldSkills UK Competitions.

Dr Neil Bentley, Chief Executive, WorldSkills UK said:  “We know that WorldSkills UK Competitions help apprentices go further, faster in their careers. The activity is proven to enhance a young person’s knowledge and employability skills, equipping them with the right skills to help UK businesses better compete globally.”

Those apprentices who are successful in the National Qualifiers, the first stage of the WorldSkills UK Competitions, will be invited to take part in the National Finals which will be held at The Skills Show from 15 – 17 November at the NEC, Birmingham.

To enter your apprentice into the WorldSkills UK Competition in Butchery please register at www.worldskillsuk.org from 1 March until 7 April, 2018.
